The PE Partnership award identifies, celebrates, promotes and encourages organisational partnerships within a regional or local context for the benefit of the community they serve. The focus of this award is to acknowledge communities embracing their world of movement through a partnership designed to support quality physical education experiences in their communities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Open to any group.
- Can be nominated by any individual or organisation.
Award Criteria:
- The nominated partnership must be an active collaboration between two or more organisations, such as schools, community groups, local councils, sports clubs, or businesses, within a regional or local New Zealand community. The partnership should have operated within the past year and demonstrated sustainable impact.
- The partnership should demonstrate measurable outcomes in terms of increased engagement or participation in Physical Education programmes.
- The partnership should show evidence of long-term or sustained benefits that extend beyond immediate goals, such as fostering an enduring culture of Physical Education, advocating for the importance of PE in the community, or creating Physical Education resources or opportunities that will benefit future generations.
Additional Requirements:
- The partnership should have support from community leaders, including endorsements from local officials, educators, or community group representatives who can attest to the partnership’s positive influence. Additional testimonials from participants or local stakeholders are encouraged to highlight the initiative’s impact.
