Nikki Wortelboer is a Board Member at Physical Education New Zealand (PENZ) and a consultant at Strategy House, with more than 20 years’ experience across central and local government, the non-profit sector, and the recreation and sport sector.

She is passionate about helping people, organisations and communities grow and thrive.

Her background includes leading large-scale transformation programmes, holding senior leadership roles, building high-performing teams, and working alongside organisations to strengthen strategy, capability and performance. Her experience across recreation and sport has given her an understanding of the sector, the organisations and people who enable participation, and the role physical activity can play in supporting stronger, healthier and more connected communities.

Nikki brings a strong understanding of organisational dynamics, governance, strategy and people development, combined with a practical and outcomes-focused approach. Known for building trusted relationships and bringing people together, she values collaboration, curiosity and creating environments where different perspectives contribute to better outcomes.
