For individuals who are not currently employed in an educational institution, such as retired educators, former PE professionals or independent practitioners who want to stay connected to the physical education community.
As a member, you’ll continue to access PENZ resources, professional networks, and events, keeping you engaged with the latest developments in physical education whilst enjoying the flexibility of membership tailored to your stage of life.

Manaaki Membership
Designed for individuals or organisations who would like to be granted a membership free of charge. The following areas are considered when granting Manaaki Membership:
- Educators and schools facing financial hardship.
- Those with specific educational needs
- Members who align with PENZ strategic priorities

What's involved?
With your membership subscription, you'll have access to all member benefits for one year (January - December). Your membership will continue after your minimum term and you can retire this in writing.
If you're subscribing on behalf of a school or kura, you'll be prompted to enter your school or kura name and a billing email address.
The membership subscription process is automated for schools and kura. Once you've selected your organisation, the membership subscription rate will be automatically applied.
You'll be prompted to enter credit card or bank details for online debit to complete the transaction. Alternatively, and invoice can be issued to you during the payment process.
If you're a leader, you can manage your team memberships from your PENZ member dashboard.
